Heat the Streets 2010

Enter a magical world of light, fire and music as a bigger and better Heat the Streets returns. Artists and street theatre transform the town centre with fire, sound and interaction.

Watch the magical parade at 4pm, before fire, light and music transform the streets as darkness falls at 5pm.

In partnership with Showzam, Walk the Plank (Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony, Liverpool Capital Of Culture: The People's Opening, Rugby Cup Final '07) produce another stunning event with fire and music at its heart. The evening's highlights will include the return of the internationally acclaimed company La Machine (makers of Liverpool's Spider and London's the Sultan's Elephant) - fusing fire effects with live music and intriguing mechanical instruments.

Visit the Fire Queen's musical garden, where you will be invited into her court for magical and wonderful fiery musical installations and animations, appearing in Blackpool's newly designed St. John's area.

Performances including Temple Street's 'The Temple of Fire' will comence all around the town centre and a host of walkabout performers will be taking to the streets.
